Semerkand İngilizce Dergi Sayı: 11 - Kasım 2022
Semerkand English Magazine launches its November issue with the feature article titled "Remembering the Meaning of Trust in a Broken World.”
The article, penned by Ahmet Safa, delves into the many levels and layers of trust, what it means to be worthy of it, and our struggle of underpinning it in our social and religious lives.
The author also touches on the significance of justice and charity as systems of social security and how they impact how we feel about trusting others. He then expands upon how Islam generates trust by ensuring a collective sense of security in the knowledge that amanah is maintained and protected by believers. In the last section of the article, the author focuses on examples from the life of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), detailing how he enshrined this uniquely valuable aspect of Islamic morals in his sunnah.
In the lead article titled "Obedience to Allah and His Messenger,” our lead author Muhammed Mübarek Elhüseyni highlights the relationship between obeying Allah and following His messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), not just by obeying him but also by modeling our lives after his blessed example. As he does so in light of the ayahs of the Qur’an expressly commanding believers to obey Allah’s messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), He contemplates on the unique role of sunnah as an anchor that holds iman in place, giving readers a crucial perspective of the undeniable connection between the sacred duty of obeying and following in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and preserving our religion.
Semerkand English Magazine November 2022 issue also features articles such as "Repentance: Cleansing a Remorseful Heart” by Selim Uğur, "The Double-Edged Sword” by Abdurrahman Altundağ, "Those Who Are Successeful” by Abdülkadir Alioğlu, "Resurrection” by Mehmet Fatih Çakır, "The Mujaddid of the Second Millenium: Imam Rabbani (Quddisa Sirruhu)” by Ali Yurtgezen, "Like the Branches of a Tree” by M.
